Congratulations to our friends at Circle of Health International and their partner organization ayzh for receiving the Positive Action Challenge Grant from the United Nations Foundation!

Austin-based nonprofit and ALLMEP member COHI, along with their India-based partner ayzh, have received the grant for their innovative achievements in maternal healthcare in humanitarian crisis settings.

In May 2016, both organizations partnered to bring menstrual health and hygiene training and menstrual health kits to refugees in Greece. And in July 2016, the partnership expanded to provide emergency clinical training to Syrian midwives in Gaziantep, Turkey, and distribute clean birth kits and menstrual hygiene kits to support both midwives and mothers inside Syria.
