Join Ir Amim on a geopolitical tour of Jerusalem’s Old City

For those of you in the area, we invite you to join us this upcoming Friday, July 19th at 9:00 am for a geopolitical tour of the Old City.

In it, we will learn about what the occupation looks like inside the Old City, an area of just one square kilometer that is often at the center of political conflict. We will discuss what it means to see an Israeli flag in the middle of the historic Muslim Quarter, and learn about the discriminatory laws and state actions that are enabling the eviction of Palestinian families from their homes. We will learn about the struggle over religious spaces and about the organizations that seek to transform a place that has historically been home to multiple religions and cultures into an exclusively Jewish space.

Imagining a different future in Jerusalem and the region starts by learning about how reality today falls short of the inclusive, equal city we envision. Join us this Friday as we learn about this and more.
