Inspiring Hope and Bridge-building With Mira Awad, Hamze Awawde and Magen Inon

May 23 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Amid these trying times of war, grief, and despair, which deeply affect our student community, please join us for an evening with Palestinian and Israeli peace activists.

Join us for a personal and reflective evening with three peace activists from Palestine and Israel who will share their experiences and approaches to navigating the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We will examine the work of community peace activists and look at the contribution that peace activists can make to overcoming divides and inspiring hope.

There will be an opportunity to ask the guest speakers questions, and it will be followed by a drinks reception where you also have a chance to talk to the guest speakers.

We will discuss the following questions: Are there partners for peace? What can the international community do? How do we approach peace amid trauma and war? What are the next steps to addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? What can peace activists do amid ongoing violence and injustice? How do we overcome mistrust and division and how do peacebuilders navigate tensions within their own communities? We welcome you to come to this important and meaningful discussion and reflection.
