Home demolitions and displacement in Walaja, East Jerusalem – Webinar invitation by Ir Amim (ZOOM, English)

Join the Telos Learning Corps on Tuesday, March 26th at 2:30 pm ET for a conversation about home demolitions and displacement in East Jerusalem, and particularly in the village of Walaja. While the issue of displacement is an ongoing challenge, under the cover of the war in Gaza Israel has increased Palestinian home demolitions while continuing to expand settlements, which are illegal under international law. The conversation will highlight the struggle the residents of Walaja are facing, their steadfast resistance, and ways we can come alongside them in support, as well as how this is indicative of the broader context in Jerusalem. We’ll be joined by special guests Hassan Abu Tin of the Walaja planning committee, Annie Kantar from the Friends of Walaja, and Aviv Tatarsky from Ir Amim.
