Keshet

Description

Keshet was founded in 1999 in Mitzpe Ramon as a non-governmental organization (NGO). Keshet provides a supportive framework for initiatives and projects designed to respond and provide solutions to multiple communal, cultural, and environmental challenges in the Negev Highlands region.
The Keshet NGO has worked among the Bedouin communities in the Negev Highlands for many years. Today, its primary activities focus on working towards recognition for the unrecognized Bedouin communities and villages in the Negev Highlands, regulation, heritage tourism development, cultural conservation, environmental protection, traditional agriculture, education, and promoting coexistence between Bedouin and Jewish individuals and communities.
Keshet NGO’s work within these communities focuses on promoting shared living in the Negev Highlands, bridging divides, and eradicating racism among the region’s diverse communities.
