Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) is a year-round platform of programs and initiatives created by entrepreneurship promoting communities. Aimed at creating one global entrepreneurial ecosystem, GEN helps people all over the world unleash their ideas and turn them into promising new venture-creating jobs, unearthing innovations for society and strengthening economic stability around the world.
In Israel GEN has a focus on the social periphery, and in particular, on women and minorities. Particular programs include Acceleration programs for early-stage entrepreneurs (Kafr Qara, Kafr Qasim); “English Connect” (English speakers talk to Arab techies, unleashing their English-speaking capabilities, semi successful); “Entrepreneurial Mixer”, where Jewish and Arab entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs meet to strengthen their business networks; entrepreneurial school visits (in the Arab and Druze minorities); and more. During Global Entrepreneurship Week (celebrated in 200 countries, with close to 10 million participants) we “Press the Button” to start the trade at TASE, with successful entrepreneurs and students from across the Jewish-Palestinian conflict.
