About ALLMEP:

The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) represents a network of over 160 organizations engaged in civil society peacebuilding between Israelis and Palestinians. We work locally to raise the capacity, connectivity, and collective impact of our members toward our shared goal of catalyzing peace. Internationally, we are the prime interlocutor between Israeli-Palestinian civil society and governments around the world, with a track record of raising the profile and centrality of peacebuilding as a policy tool, as well as unlocking close to $400 million in government funding for the field, most notably via the landmark 2020 Middle East Partnership for Peace Act (MEPPA).

Position Overview:

ALLMEP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Intern to support our fundraising, outreach, and operational efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and education in nonprofit development, data management, and event planning while contributing to impactful work in the peacebuilding sector. This position will be a key member of the U.S. team and gain first-hand experience working with an international organization. This will be a part-time (15-20 hours/week) paid position.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:

  • Organize, update, and maintain donor databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct data clean-up and segmentation to support targeted outreach efforts.
  • Assist with data entry and donor information tracking.

Email Communication & Formatting:

  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and scheduling donor communications, including emails and newsletters.
  • Support the Director of Partnerships in managing email lists and ensuring timely communication with donors and stakeholders.

Outreach & Tracking:

  • Keep track of outreach efforts and engagement with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on donor activity and fundraising trends.

Event Planning & Support:

  • Assist in planning and organizing virtual and in-person events, such as donor briefings and webinars.
  • Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and support event promotion and follow-up.

Development & Fundraising Strategies:

  • Support the Director of Partnerships in researching and identifying potential funding opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns and strategies.

Data Collection & Operations Support:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to collect and upload donation data from third-party platforms such as Benevity and Global Giving.
  • Support efforts to streamline Development operations and improve data management processes.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Current student or recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, International Relations, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and/or Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Excel and/or CRM software and databases preferred.
  • Proficiency with Canva or other graphic design software is a plus
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in the non-profit sector and Israeli/Palestinian peacebuilding
  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising management and development
  • Experience with fundraising and digital communications work is a plus
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive attitude.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

There are no extraordinary physical requirements for the performance of the essential functions of this position. ALLMEP will make reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation:

The position offers a stipend of $1,000-$1,250 per month for 15-20 hours of work per week. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities, networking events, and receive mentorship from senior staff.
