Connecting the dots between the protests taking place in West Jerusalem and across Israel and the struggle of East Jerusalem residents. Ir Amim’s tour

April 17 @ 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join us in connecting the dots between the protests taking place in West Jerusalem and across Israel and the struggle of East Jerusalem residents. Is there a connection between the fight for Israeli democracy and return of all the hostages, and the complex reality in Jerusalem where nearly 40% of the city’s residents are subject to systematic discrimination and devoid of equal rights?

We’ll start at Damascus Gate in East Jerusalem and end at Paris Square in West Jerusalem. Between those points, we’ll explore the Palestinian space in and around the Old City and the seam line between the eastern and western parts of the city.

We’ll meet social activists, Israelis and Palestinians, who are fighting on the ground for freedom and justice and working towards preserving the unique character of the city. And we’ll try to answer the difficult questions regarding the future of this place and how we can imagine and work together towards a secure, shared, and equal future.

Join us on Thursday, April 17 at 12:00.
