Ir Amim’s guided tour and solidarity visit to Silwan (English and Hebrew).

We invite those of you in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas to join us this Wednesday, October 9th for a guided tour and solidarity visit to Silwan.

Silwan is a neighborhood just outside the Old City threatened by many of the processes of displacement that affect Palestinians throughout East Jerusalem. In the past months, some residents have had their homes demolished and others have been forcefully evicted from their homes, with many more under threat. In this visit, we will meet with one of Silwan’s community leaders and learn from him about how planning policy and other measures threaten Palestinian life in Jerusalem.
