Research
For over 20 years, ALLMEP’s research and analysis activities have been at the core of all of our work — to inform and educate key stakeholders about building support for peace from the bottom-up, to engage with policymakers and philanthropists, to amplify peacebuilders’ inspiring voices and work, and to strengthen and coordinate projects in the field.

In recent years, we’ve intensified these research activities, resulting in a broadening knowledge base on subjects related to peacebuilding, including:
- How peacebuilding works
- Measuring and expanding its impact
- Opportunities for strategic investments
- Role of alumni as leaders and constituents for peace
- How global and regional policies impact civil society
- Lessons from other conflicts, which civil society helped resolve
- How attitudes are shifting and changeable on the ground
- Using AI and new technologies in peacebuilding
AI Pulse - Phase 1
AI Pulse, developed in partnership with high-tech firm Remesh, is transforming how we engage with peacebuilders in Palestine and Israel. Utilizing cutting-edge AI technology, we held a series of large-scale online conversations with those directly involved in grassroots peace efforts. The participants said they felt strengthened by the process, and the results pointed to the resilience of the field and pathways forward, with strong areas of consensus on shared values, goals, and a unified strategy.

With this data, NGOs can better design, measure, and coordinate programs for success; donors can ensure efficient and high-impact investments; and we can all better tell the stories of how each individual can make a difference.
In 2024, our research and analysis efforts became a new department within ALLMEP, headed by Dr. Natali Levin Schwartz, to extend our collection and analysis of impact and policy relating to peacebuilding and continue to fuel our advocacy, communications, and member services.
