After October 7: The Future of the Israeli Peace Camp with Meretz Party ex-leader Zehava Galon (by Ropes)

One of the cruelest ironies of the October 7 attacks is that so many of the border communities murderously targeted by Hamas were longtime hubs of Israeli activism for peace and Palestinian rights (and bastions of support for the dovish Meretz Party).

Following Galon’s remarks and an audience Q&A moderated by ROPES’s executive director (former Knesset member Ksenia Svetlova), the organization’s founder Ben Birnbaum and Palestinian-Israeli team members Amira Mohammed and Ibrahim Abu Ahmad will make a presentation about ROPES’s ongoing work to unite forward-thinking Israeli and Palestinian emerging leaders with peers across the Middle East and North Africa in pursuit of a two-state solution and an integrated, post-conflict region.
